Tufting Guidelines & Examples

To ensure we have the correct colours, and to sketch out onto the canvas before you arrive to ensure you have enough time to tuft, please send me your design at least 48 hours before your workshop.

We recommend a simple design with fewer details as thin lines and writing can be difficult to tuft and it may be hard to get the desired effect.

You can choose your own design, or below are some example flash sheets that you may choose from. If you choose your own image I will confirm or try to change design to work successfully once sent to me, if it is not possible you may have to choose another design. All designs must be cartoon/illustration style.

Your rug is not suitable to be a bath mat, as it cannot get wet and is not machine washable, please consider this when deciding what to make.

For "Little Tuft"s please limit to 2-4 colours and have a simple design.
For "Standard Tuft"s you may include up to 6 colours and have a more detailed design.

Avoid:
BLURRY IMAGES

SMALL LETTERS

GRADIENTS
We cannot use example photos that are on an angle, the image must be front view and face on.

Once you have chosen your design, please email it to us at contact@tuftingeck.co.uk, quoting your order number and full name. If you have booked multiple spots for other guests, please send all designs chosen from guests. Unless there is an issue with your design, you may not hear from us before your workshop, but this is a good sign :-)
